The summer transfer window will shut at 11pm this coming Friday – and Premier League clubs are bracing themselves for three frantic days of incomings and outgoings.
The old adage of 'getting business done early' has not rung true for many managers, with Manchester United's Erik ten Hag still desperately trying to do business. The Dutchman needs to sell before he can buy big again, and now needs reinforcements following a mini-injury crisis.
Arsenal are trying to trim their squad after spending more than £200 million this summer, whilst Liverpool are still in the market for a new midfielder. Spurs meanwhile, are desperately hunting for a new striker following the departure of Harry Kane.
Indeed, German champions Bayern Munich are also set to feature significantly between now and 11pm Friday. Thomas Tuchel is chasing a number of Premier League players despite already signing Kane this summer.
A fee has been agreed with Fenerbahce and the medical complete, but Altay Bayindir is yet to be confirmed as a Manchester United player.
Ten Hag is seemingly being made to wait for Dean Henderson to join Crystal Palace before for the Turkish keeper puts pen to paper. And the club will be anxious to get it sorted, in light of the news that Andre Onana could miss up to six league games this season on AFCON duty with Cameroon.
As it stands, there doesn't appear to be any potential stumbling blocks for Henderson's £15million move. So the transfer of Bayindir, 25, appears one of the more certain switches before the deadline, especially given former United player Fred inadvertently confirmed a deal was happening.

If Bayindir's move to Old Trafford is all but sorted, then Ryan Gravenberch's future remains very much uncertain.
All summer long, the player has been linked with the Red Devils and Liverpool. And having not started either of Bayern Munich's two Bundesliga games this season, speculation over an exit is mounting with the player himself telling reporters: "I don‘t know what will happen in the next days."

The. Bundesliga champions are after new midfielders, with Thomas Tuchel involved in a frosty exchange with reporters on the subject on Sunday. Therefore, a move for the out-of-favour McTominay looks likely, but the make-up of the deal remains up in the air.
