Club have 'not yet received' Everton offer – 'Will be happy' to sell player for €5m – Sport Witness

Everton have joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race for Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi.
On August 10th, Rheinische Post stated Wolves are particularly interested in the 26-year-old, and at the weekend, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio said the Toffees are showing interest in him.
Bild have relayed this claim and provide their own information on the current situation involving both Wolves and Everton.

It’s claimed negotiations between the German club and Gary O’Neil’s side ‘continue to falter’ due to the latter’s financial constraints.
The Toffees are in the market looking for last minute reinforcements after a poor start to the new season.
Bild relay claims of Everton interest in the centre-back and add that Gladbach have ‘not yet received’ an offer from Sean Dyche’s side.
Elvedi’s deal runs until 2024, with an option for another year, and his current market value is €18m.
The report states the Bundesliga side would like to sell him for over €10m but haven’t yet received any offers meeting their demands. Therefore, Bild say Gladbach ‘will be happy’ to get €5-6m from Elvedi’s sale in the next few days.
In other words, both Everton and Wolves have a chance to carry out a cheap deal late in the window.
