FIFA 23 Ultimate Team is shaping up to be the biggest yet.
EA FC 24 leaked ratings revealed a wave of downgrades coming to Liverpool players, and fans questioned the decision despite a down season.
Liverpool’s 30-year league title drought ended in 2019, as Jurgen Klopp led the storied side to a Premier League and Champions League triumph. Since then, Manchester City has gone on to win two straight titles — including a Champions League — while Liverpool altered its path into a slight rebuild.
Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Roberto Firmino all moved on to finish out the latter half of their careers elsewhere, as Liverpool started the early stages of ushering in a new generation of exciting talent. Unfortunately, passing the baton hasn’t necessarily been a smooth process, as Klopp and company stumbled out of the gates in 2022/23 and did just enough to regain form and salvage a fifth-place finish.
With a healthy Luis Diaz blowing by fullbacks on the wing and a reinforced midfield highlighted by fresh signings Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch, Liverpool has all the pieces in place for a bounce-back season.
Still, a bright future doesn’t excuse Liverpool from facing the consequences of its previous disappointing campaign.
Liverpool fan account DaveOCKOP revealed leaked EA FC 24 Liverpool player ratings.
It’s important to note that these are only leaks and not confirmed ratings from EA. Let’s jump right into the rumored overalls.
Seven Liverpool players suffered a downgrade, and supporters couldn’t agree. For example, Salah finished with 19 goals and 12 assists last season but saw a one-rating decrease.
One fan responded: “How are they justifying the Salah downgrade?”
A second user added: “Salah being rated 89 overall is criminal. Should be 90 rated at minimum.”
Meanwhile, frustration arose from Allison not getting an upgrade for his heroic performances during the club’s down season.
A third commenter argued: “Alisson 89 is a disgrace. Should be 91 for how hard he carried us last season.”
Before Liverpool fans get out their pitchforks, they will just have to wait for the official ratings reveal.
