Saudi Pro League club Ettifaq have reportedly reached agreement with Everton winger Demarai Gray on personal terms ahead of a summer move.
A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Gray was close to joining Al-Shabab, but the club opted to go for Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco instead.
This opened the door for Ettifaq to come in and seal the signing of the Jamaican winger after agreeing a $6 million deal with Everton, according to Asharq Al-Awsat.
The report revealed that Gray had already undergone a successful medical in London ahead of travelling to Saudi Arabia to join Ettifaq in the upcoming 48 hours.
According to the Saudi publication, Gray will earn $6 million per season with Ettifaq and his contract will run for between three to four seasons.
Coached by Steven Gerrard, Ettifaq have already made four marquee signings this summer, acquiring Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jack Hendry, and Moussa Dembélé.
Gray, 27, has missed Everton’s opening four Premier League games this season due to injury and has been the subject of interest from several European and Gulf sides.
Over the summer, Gray had impressed with Jamaica and led his country to the Gold Cup final, before losing to eventual winners Mexico.
A product of Birmingham academy, Demarai Gray has represented Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen, before moving to Everton in 2021, and was part of the Foxes team that won the Premier League in 2016.
