Cody Gakpo scored again as the Netherlands came from behind to beat the Republic of Ireland 2-1 on Sunday night.
The Liverpool forward, who was also on the mark in his country’s 3-0 win over Greece on Thursday, equalised from the penalty spot as Oranje overturned an early deficit in their Euro 2024 Group B qualifier.
Gakpo was withdrawn with nine minutes remaining in Dublin, while captain Virgil van Dijk completed the full match for the Dutch. Their clubmate Caoimhin Kelleher was an unused substitute for Ireland.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Hungary skipper Dominik Szoboszlai started and finished his nation’s 1-1 friendly draw with Czechia.
