In a major development, Gerard Romero’s Jijantes FC is reporting that La Liga have approved the €20.2 million personal guarantee put forth by the Barcelona board of directors.
As such, the club have received the green light to complete the pending transfers and registrations.
Last summer when Barcelona were struggling to register Jules Kounde, Barcelona president Joan Laporta and treasurer Ferran Olive had put forward a sum as personal guarantee to ensure his registration.
And with the club facing delays with the due payment from Libero Football Fund, Laporta and Olive have once again come forward and provided personal endorsements worth €20.2 million.
The documentation regarding the same was sent forward to La Liga for review earlier today and having gone through the validation process, the league has approved the guarantee provided.
With the approval for the personal guarantees arriving from La Liga, it essentially means that Barcelona have been given the green light to complete their pending registrations and transfers.
The update from Jijantes adds that Inaki Pena will be the first to be registered, with reports just a while ago claiming that all the documentation for the same had already been sent to La Liga.
This move, coupled with the impending exits of Clement Lenglet and Ansu Fati, should create enough margin for Barcelona to complete the signing of Joao Cancelo and register him.
The Blaugrana also have to register Inigo Martinez yet while it remains to be seen whether there is enough room to incorporate the signing of Joao Felix.
