Manchester United are still owned by the Glazer family as the club's proposed takeover rumbles on.
Proposals headed-up by Sheikh Jassim from Qatar and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe – via his INEOS company – have yet to be accepted by the Americans and United remain at a crossroads off the field. That means supporters will have to play the waiting game for a little while longer yet before looking forward to fresh beginnings.
Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim have, naturally, been radio silent with the red tape involved. However, there's plenty to consider around the proposals, not to mention protests towards the Glazers themselves.
While there's nothing concrete to feast on at the moment, there are some interesting snippets floating around in the national and international media. Here's our latest round-up of the main takeover headlines.

Manchester United hero Rio Ferdinand has doubled down on his criticism of the Glazer family regarding their lack of communication with the club's fan base.
The Glazers confirmed they were undergoing a "strategic review" of their much-maligned ownership in November. However, it remains unclear whether United's American owners are looking to sell the club or searching merely for fresh investment at Old Trafford.
Sheikh Jassim – from Qatar – and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe are understood to be fronting up two interested parties, but they have both signed confidentiality agreements to avoid hampering the process.

Sheikh Jassim will not speak publicly about his proposed takeover at Manchester United.
That's according to journalist Fabrizio Romano as the Qatari banker awaits a decision on his offer to the purchase shares from the Glazer family. Romano has reported that Sheikh Jassim will not perform a U-turn on the initial call to wait for the green light from the Americans.
Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim are thought to have submitted offers worth £5billion-plus. However, the Glazers are still thought to value the Premier League giants at £6billion.

The transfer window will soon close and although United got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford, activity has stalled since Hojlund's announcement.
A goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker were Erik ten Hag's priorities heading into the summer window, but injuries early on in the season mean United are in need of further reinforcements.
