Manchester United Women are finalising a deal for World Cup Golden Boot winner Hinata Miyazawa.
Japan international Miyazawa, 23, scored five goals in the Australia and New Zealand finals and she is poised to become United Women's first Japanese player. Miyazawa is signing for United today.
United are understood to have fought off plenty of competition for Miyazawa.
Miyazawa will join from WE League club Mynavi Sendai and her expected arrival at United would offset the loss of striker Alessia Russo, who has joined Arsenal.

Russo scored 13 goals last season but the childhood United fan opted to leave when her contract expired.
United completed the signing of Brazil international Geyse Da Silva Ferreira from Barcelona earlier this month, while Gemma Evans and Emma Watson are the other recent recruits.
United's women's side finished second in the Women's Super League last season and came runners-up to Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
The WSL season starts on October 1 and United get their campaign underway away to Aston Villa.
