Mason Mount arrived at Manchester United this summer with plenty of Champions League pedigree.
The England international was signed by Erik ten Hag this summer for a £55m fee that could rise to £60m with add-ons. Mount was instrumental for his side in the 2021 Champions League final in which Chelsea beat Manchester City, with his pass setting up the winning goal for former teammate Kai Havertz.
United will no doubt be hoping he can provide them with a similar spark on their return to Europe's premier competition this season. The Reds have learned their Champions League group stage rivals after being drawn alongside Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray in Group A on Thursday.

With fixtures set to take place in the coming months against Bayern, Copenhagen and Galatasaray, Mount can look forward to those midweek nights under the Old Trafford lights – something he said he was particularly excited about after signing for United earlier this summer.
"I've had the experience of playing there as an away team and it's so tough," Mount told MUTV upon his arrival at Old Trafford. "You're not just playing against the team, you're playing against the fans as well, and they're always behind the team and singing the songs, and it's a theatre to come and play.
"It's amazing, you look forward to it every time but now obviously putting the home kit on and I can't wait to walk out there.
"Those Champions League nights are going to be special and now it's the focus on doing well and I'm really enjoying it at the same time."
With Champions League football back on the cards at Old Trafford following United's absence last season, Mount is about to get exactly what he wants.
The transfer window will soon close and although United got their hands on three players well in advance of the September 1 deadline, with Rasmus Hojlund joining Mason Mount and Andre Onana at Old Trafford, activity has stalled since Hojlund's announcement.
A goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker were Erik ten Hag's priorities heading into the summer window, but injuries early on in the season mean United are in need of further reinforcements.
