FORMER Manchester United star Axel Tuanzebe is in talks to join Real Betis, according to reports.
The defender has been a free agent since leaving United upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June.
Tuanzebe has attracted interest from Premier League and Championship clubs but now appears set to move abroad.
Real Betis are interested in signing the 25-year-old and have reportedly held talks over a move, report the Daily Mail.
That is a blow for Prem newcomers Luton after Tuanzebe trained with the club.
It is understood he had a trial period with the Hatters, who have conceded nine goals in three top flight games.
Fellow newboys Sheffield United were also said to be interested in Tuanzebe.
While the centre-back has reportedly also had interest from Germany and Turkey as well as a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia.
Tuanzebe made 37 appearances for the Red Devils and was part of the squad that won the Europa League in 2017.
He spent seven years in the first-team after progressing through the academy, although he had five different loan spells including three separate stints at Aston Villa.
